Acquisition Entrepreneurs

Most of our completed transactions involved a retiring home care founder selling to an aspiring Entrepreneur. Aspiring business owners fall into two categories- The Start-Up Entrepreneur and the Acquisition Entrepreneur.

Acquisition Entrepreneurship, also known as Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA), is a growing trend in which an individual investor-operator acquires an established business rather than starting a new one from scratch.

The primary advantages are threefold:

  1. Reduced risk compared to the uncertainty of launching an untested business or idea
  2. Immediate earnings compared to what can be a long pathway to break even from a start-up
  3. Capital availability as acquisition financing sources are much more robust than start-up capital.

The highly fragmented, hyper-local, high growth home care industry is comprised of many Acquisition Entrepreneurs who transitioned from large Corporate America to Small Business ownership. Enabling such is the core of what we do.
