Our roots are deeply planted in the process of reaching out to founders and owners that are not on the open market but may be receptive to being acquired. That’s how we got started more than twenty years ago- by acquisition searching on behalf of aspiring investor-operators, industry consolidators and private equity groups. We still do so today but on a highly selective basis.

The process starts with the development of our client’s Ideal Acquisition Criteria (IAC). Upon alignment, we then build a list of primarily off-market “Targets” and reach out to them in a variety of mediums including but not limited to direct mail and digital marketing.

Upon establishing credibility and trust with an interested, high fit Target, we collect enough data to develop an Acquisition Target Profile (ATP) to introduce the opportunity to our client. The scope of our involvement ranges from serving as “finders” only to the full transaction cycle of analysis, offer development, negotiation, deal execution and closing.

Targets that respond are often attracted to the fact that they don’t pay a brokerage fee and can possibly complete a transaction quickly and quietly, mitigating the risk of a drawn-out process or confidentiality breach.
